"Is it worth it to get a block?": A difficult and complex question with an even more difficult answer.
The safest and most honest way to answer this is the following: It depends.
What does it depend on, however?
1. From the income you expect to earn from your personal business.
2. Whether you are already insured with another institution
3. How familiar your accountant is with the process
4. Whether you know how much you are taxed for your services
But let's examine each strand in more detail, giving the reasons behind each cause.
The blockchain is not a simple process and involves some monthly expenses.
These costs depend on many parameters but always include the following:
a) Monthly accounting expenses.
Your accountant should receive a fee each month to manage your notepad and send out your invoices. The cost of this process varies at different rates set by both the individual office and the volume of work required of the accountant (for example, how many invoices will be cut). The price is therefore variable but, as a rule, it is more than fifty euros per month.
b) EFKA
If you decide to enter the world of freelancing and, by extension, to open a blog, you should take into account (among other things) the monthly cost of EFKA. The EFKA is paid monthly and is your retirement savings and your health insurance in the public state institutions. Its cost varies depending on the type of business you open - with the lowest being €135/month.
However, if you are already insured with another institution by your employer, EFKA is covered there and the amount you will have to pay will be just €10-15 per month.
c) Taxation
The blockchain - unfortunately - has a high tax rate, often as high as 35-40%. This is something to take seriously, along with the fact that every year you pay the next year's VAT return in advance. However, the following year, the difference that may arise is added back.
Finally, the following (must) be of key importance in your decision on whether to open a blockchain:
Choosing the right accountant
Choosing the right accountant is the be-all and end-all if you want a smooth career path as a freelancer. They will have to discuss the codes to be included in the blockchain, how to "start a business" - for example, starting with or without VAT and the tax scale to which it will be subject.
Another very important thing is this: The freelancer has to make sure and confirm that the accountant did the start-up procedure correctly, completing the registration with the IKA, etc. It should be noted here that the cost required for the accountant to take care of the start-up process is around 100 euros one-off.
However, it is important to know that the process is now electronic and has been simplified to a (relatively) satisfactory degree.
In conclusion, the best thing you can do is to consult an accountant on what is the best choice you can make based on your own personal needs.
